Chops Beliraam

13/01/11  This dish gets its name from a famous Chef Beliraam, from Lahore’s Anarkali neighbourhood. This is easy to make.

Chops 1/2 kg

Cinnamon 1 stick

Onion brown (sliced) 2

Green cardamom 4

Cloves 4

Yogurt 1 cup

Oil 1/2 cup

Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp

Coriander (crushed) 1 tbsp

Red pepper (crushed) 2 tsp

Ginger (chopped) 2 tbsp

Salt 1 1/2 tsp

Coriander leaves for garnishing

1.Marinate chops with yogurt, sliced brown onion, chopped ginger, chopped garlic, green cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon stick, salt, crushed red pepper and crushed coriander for 2 hours. 2.Heat oil, add marinated chops, cover and cook for 30 minutes over low flame. 3.When chops tender fry well, garnish with coriander leaves and serve with green chutney.
